The investment of the Bulgarian company BTB, a manufacturer of women's clothing, was announced in June 2016 in Vinica, while the investors have already opened a company in Macedonia the year before.
Two hundred new jobs were announced, and according to the Central Registry data, the company had 40 employees by the end of 2015, and 100 employees by the end of 2016. The noncurrent assets of the company for 2015 amounted to approximately 255,000 EUR.
"The first reason for investing in Vinica is precisely the similarity of Macedonia and Bulgaria in terms of culture and tradition, and that fact that there is no language barrier between us. The second reason is that Macedonia has a long tradition in textile manufacturing", said at the opening ceremony Achim Bayerl, owner of the company.
"Vinica and the whole municiplity draw a benefit from each new investment, and each investment contributes to the prevention of the intense migration flows and is a major plus in reducing unemployment, but also in encouraging competition," said Emil Donchev, mayor of Vinica.
The media reported that, according to the company’s plans, the Vinica plant would manufacture first-class clothing for the largest BTB – Comma customer, as well as for its own brand Vayana.
