When he declared the factory open for production in 2012, former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said that the new production facility for pharmaceuticals is a Serbian investment worth approximately six million euros.
“I am glad that this investment has a second stage in which additional four million euros will be invested, which will finalize the entire investment cycle of 10 million euros, which is an excellent challenge for every company working in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry”, he stated.
Four years later, Central Registry data show that in 2015 the company had approximately 150 thousand euros in noncurrent assets, although the investment was initially announced in its millions.
The factory is obviously operational, because they have job announcements and commercials for medical and pharmaceutical products, but the number of employees is low – Central Registry data show that at the end of 2015 the company employed only 18 people. According to BIRN’s latest data, from November 2016, the number of employees was reduced to 15.
Owners of the company are the Company for transactions and sales Novos DOO Zemun and the Company for sales Varus DOOEL export import Skopje.
