The Dutch IT company Symphony Solutions opened its office in Skopje in May 2016, and it plans to open 200 new jobs by the end of 2017. The first 100 new jobs were anticipated in 2016.

The owner of IT Symphony Solutions, Theo Schnitfink said at the opening that his company had about 3,000 employees, mostly in Ukraine, and that they also had offices in Poland.

He announced that the new Skopje offices would be in the vicinity of the river Vardar and would resemble the famous Amsterdam Grand Cafe. Initially, he wanted to expand his business in Bulgaria, but, as he pointed out, after talking to the Macedonian Ambassador to Ukraine, he decided to review the investment and business opportunities in Macedonia.

"I was very surprised by the large number of highly qualified students and experienced IT professionals. Macedonia is still an uncut diamond in the IT sector, which is a very important sector for the investments and development of a country, and that will be a great thing for Macedonia", said Schnitfink.

The Minister for Foreign Investments Bil Pavlevski, Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev and VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski also attended the opening of the new offices.

In Macedonia, the company Symphony Solutions was opened in November 2015 with an initial capital of 50, 000 EUR.

Since the company began operations in 2016, its noncurrent assets and number of employees for 2015 amounted to zero. In 2016, however, the number of employees was 32.
